Italian Classic Tour Time Table Guide
🇮🇹 Tuscany to Sanremo Cycling Tour
This tour is close to my heart, as I am half Italian, and it’s designed to give you an authentic cycling experience through some of Italy’s most iconic landscapes.
Your journey begins the moment you land in Pisa, followed by a coach transfer to the beautiful medieval city of Siena in Tuscany.
On arrival, we’ll check in, unpack, register, and build our bikes. Then, we’ll do what Italians do best—head out for a proper Italian coffee and soak in the atmosphere.
Each evening, we’ll come together to talk through the following day’s plan—whether that’s a ride or a well-earned rest day.
After experiencing the Pro Race and taking part in the Gran Fondo, along with several more days of riding in Tuscany, we’ll transfer on 12 March 2027 to Sanremo. This is a longer journey, so we’ll break it up with a relaxed lunch stop along the way.
Once settled in Sanremo, we’ll prepare for the next stage of the tour, with our first ride there taking place on 13 March 2027.
Our time in Tuscany centres around one of cycling’s most iconic events:
- 6 March 2027 – Strade Bianche (Pro Race)
- 7 March 2027 – Strade Bianche Gran Fondo
Riders will have the option to take on either:
- 85 km route, or
- 132 km route, both featuring the famous white gravel roads (“strade bianche”) that make this event so unique and challenging.
Following the events, we’ll enjoy several more days of riding through Tuscany’s rolling hills, combining beautiful scenery with rewarding routes.
🚐 Transfer to the Italian Riviera
On 12 March 2027, we transfer to Sanremo. This is a longer journey, so we’ll stop for a relaxed lunch en route.
After checking in and settling, we’ll begin exploring the region, with our first ride in Sanremo taking place on 13 March 2027.
🌊 Sanremo: Milan–San Remo Experience
The second part of the tour builds toward another legendary cycling event:
- 20 March 2027 – Milan–San Remo (Pro Race)
- 21 March 2027 – Milan–San Remo Gran Fondo
For the Gran Fondo, riders will tackle a 100 km route (not the full 296 km pro distance), but still experience a true challenge—especially with the two iconic climbs near the finish:
- Cipressa
- Poggio di Sanremo
A fitting and unforgettable way to round off the tour , with a transfer to Nice (France) Aiport
