As with previous years, the exact dates are totally flexible because we are still collating requests and thus getting an idea of what people want to do. So, whether you are an individual, part of a group or club, and this sounds like it could be something for you, please do get in touch and we can talk through some ideas. Pieve Di Soligo based in the heart of the Prosecco wine growing region in Italy, is a great cycling base with the added temptation of the Dolomites, just to the North. For the Stelvio (at 2,757m the second highest road pass in Western Europe) you will be based in Bormio, from where there are many other famous routes to ride.

The Prosecco

Pieve Di Soligo is no less formidable with its rolling vine covered hills supplemented with many climbs also featured in the Giro d’Italia, such the Monte Tomba, Passo San Boldo, Monte Cesan and, further afield, the mighty Monte Grappa.

The Stelvio

We can promise you both inspiring and challenging cycling in two of Italy’s most beautiful, albeit starkly differing, regions.

Bormio provides the mighty Italian Alps with historic Giro d’Italia climbs such as the Stelvio, Mortirolo, Gavia, Umbrail, and the Focango.

This is very much up to the group, and we can either help you plan in advance or agree on rides on the day. We can offer both guided rides, or you can also of course do your own thing. It is your trip and we will be as flexible as you need.

Tour cost per person

The costs will depend on the final package but typically you need to budget for:

1. The Prosecco – £599.95.
2. The Stelvio – £699.95

PLUS – £100 for safe and secure bike transportation to and from the UK, direct to your hotel.

No hidden extras.

*Non-sharing, single room supplement additional cost depends on availability and hotel pricing. Please ask us if you want a non-sharing room and we will advise you of the cost.

When and what do you need to pay?

Once the dates are agreed, £100.00 deposit secures your place on the tour. Plus £100 for out and back bike transportation if required

What do we include in your trip?

1. Transfer to and from Venice Marco Polo (VCE) (The Prosecco) and Milan Malpensi airport (MXP) (The Stelvio)
2. Bed and breakfast and evening meals at a 4-star family-run hotel
3. Guided ride outs, or do your own thing
4. Support and technical assistance
5. A possible visit, dependent on time, to the Villa Sandi the Prosecco region’s leading wine grower and producer
6. Some other tour operators add these costs to your trip cost

What’s not included?

1. Hotel personal tax
2. Your other personal hotel costs, such as your bar bill, etc
3. Other personal expenses
4. Personal insurance
   It is recommended that you take out personal insurance.

The Prosecco

Outbound
Fly into Venice, Venice Marco Polo (VCE).
Ensure you are cleared through customs by 12:30.
Coach departs at 13:00.

Return
Coach departs from the hotel at 10:30 a.m.
Please book your flight for after 13:00 a.m.

The Stelvio

Outbound
Fly into Milan Malpensa airport (MXP) airport
Ensure you are cleared through customs and can get across to Terminal 2 by 13:00.
Coach departs Terminal 2 at 13:30.

Return
Coach departs from the hotel at 10:00 a.m.
3-hour transfer, so book your return flight with this in mind.

N.B. The coach will drop you off at Terminal 2 Milan Malpensa, so factor in time to get to Terminal 1

Your deposit payment, which secures your place on your trip, is taken by SIEntries.

Any subsequent payments due for your trip are to be made by Internet Bank Transfer. Payment details are on the bottom of your statement.

Bike Transportation payments are to be made to our separate transport operation company by Internet Bank Transfer. Payment details are on the bottom of your statement.
