TT Stage – Prosecco Wine Region 33.7km
Once again we are pleased to announce that we will be attending the 103rd edition of the Giro d’italia in 2020. The Giro captures the imagination from the first to the last day and doesn’t disappoint.
We will be based in Pieve di Soligo, my relatives home town and be staying in a lovely 3 star hotel which I have stayed in many times when riding with customers, friends and visiting my relatives.
The hotel is based in the heart of the Prosecco wine region, we may not be surrounded by big 20k plus climbs but there will be a number of challenging climbs such as the Passo San Boldo as used in the 102nd edition of the Giro and in addition the Monte Ceasa and Monte Grappa.
Our position means we are dead centre of the course , so we can get to see the start , middle and finish how good is that for a stage of the Giro. Some people may think a ITT is boring , trust me when you see riders every minute and the start and finish it’s great.
It’s strong news that “The boy from the valleys” Mr G Thomas (Inios), Vicenzo Nibali(Trek) and defending champion Carapaz (Now Inios) will be doing battle , so come and cheer on your favourites and experience the Prosecco wine region.
Our trip will be for 4 nights arriving on 20/5/2020 and departing on the 24/5/2020, giving us time to explore the area and visit the Giro.
Our Giro day is stage 14 (23/5/2020) which will see the pros take on an individual TT, from Conegliano to Valdobbiadene
