Il Grupetto has put together a trip to include the best of what Italy has to offer; a cycle through the vine-clad, rolling hills of the Prosecco growing region of Northern Italy, a trip to a well known Vineyard and a superb 4 star hotel – Hotel Soligo

Hotel Soligo is a neoclassical structure in the Palladian style, built in 1782 by the Counts Brandolini d’Adda. It was originally used by the noble family as a summer residence and hunting lodge. The building has witnessed several events in Italian history; it was damaged in WWI and in 1942, during WWII, German armed forces used it as a headquarters.
The celebrities who have stayed at Hotel Villa Soligo include Marcello Mastroianni, Alberto Sordi and Sofia Loren. Partially renovated in 1945 and 1980, in 2020 Hotel Villa Soligo, with almost 240 years of history, was completely renovated and re-structured. The Palladian structure was turned into a concept hotel designed to excite the world’s travellers with new emotions.
The stunning scenery, quiet roads and villages create the perfect setting from which to experience cycling in Italy at its best. Dudley Samuels, the founder of Il Grupetto has family living in the region so his local knowledge and will ensure that you will ride the routes that best suit what you want to do. There are so many great climbs, fasts descents and ‘bellavistas’ on the perfectly tarmaced road surfaces. With coffee stops and eateries, it all adds up to make this such a special place to ride. Then to make your Prosecco immersion complete we have arranged a visit to the beautiful winery .
We are NOT riding a Gran Fondo, but we have the perfect opportunity to enjoy riding in Italy at its best, in a beautiful region at a pace that can be as testing, as relaxed or anywhere in between, plus and optional trip to the Pinarello Shop
